I have been witnessing a phenomena that intrigues me. I have never seen anything quite as preposterous and disingenuous in my entire life. Reading the words this person bangs out and then proudly displays as her current status updates on Facebook makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. What am I looking at, you might be wondering?

I’m watching someone that is now possessed by Jesus.

This is a woman I have personally seen lie, cheat, steal and get her own 2 year old high. I know she committed adultery, not once but a few times and she has never held down more than a part time job in all the years I ever associated with her.

She treated her husband, who was the nicest man I ever met, like he was a joke and a burden to be around. She even stopped sleeping in the same room with him.

Never once in all those years did the name Jesus or God ever fall from her lips during a conversation. Now they spring forth on her forked tongue, an average of every few hours of every day.

I live for the one I cannot live without – Jesus.

What breaks my heart? I used to see Jesus in everybody – now I know the TRUTH.

You can call Mary Magdalene a whore for the rest of eternity – but it won’t change the TRUTH: she didn’t run!!!

She’s not even a happy Jesus freak. She’s angry and judgmental.

I wonder where all the disciples went when Jesus was being crucified???
For my critics lol

Your critics may be laughing now, but know this: God is faithful. In the end, you will have the last laugh.

When did we all decide we were better than somebody else???

“BAM!!!” God : )

Dear Satan, why do you hate God?

I REFUSE to become bitter!!! – angry??? maybe – I’m human – but this too shall pass – I WILL love my God – I WILL trust my Jesus : ) You have NO power over me Satan because my God is bigger than you : p

One of her recent status updates was directed at her ex-husband. She was pissed that she didn’t have money to take her son to the doctor. Her son is a senior in high school and the father has him on his insurance, so if he needed to go to the doctor, all he had to do was show his insurance card. The father never needed to send her any money.

When the husband decided it was time for him to get out of the marriage, he planned it well. He had lost his job, but he kept that to himself and pretended to leave for work every morning, as usual. He volunteered to take over paying the household bills, then he let all of them, including the mortgage, go into severe arrears. He waited patiently until there was no way to save the house. He closed their bank accounts. The mortgage was put into Collections and then repossessed by the bank, leaving the occupants only 2 days to completely move out.

Before the notice to move could be served, he quietly packed his few belongings and left one morning, never to return. He moved so far away from her that to get to him would mean a plane ride. Something she couldn’t afford to do now that she was on her own.

Can you imagine the years of abuse he had put up with before hatching such a diabolical plan? This was justice and revenge all served on a platter and all at one time. When I heard what had happened I wanted to give that poor man a standing ovation! He endured pure hell for most of their marriage and now he was free as a bird.

Her oldest daughter, who was in her twenties, married and with a small child of her own, had also suffered extreme emotional abuse at this woman’s hands. She made Mommy Dearest look like the Easter Bunny! After years of mental and physical abuse and being thrown out of the family home at the tender age of 15, her daughter went into overdrive when she saw that her mother was in a bad situation.

She hired a UHaul, packed her mother’s things, put most of it into storage and moved her into her home. That worked out great until one night the mother decided to use her as a punching bag and laid her fist upside the daughter’s head. The daughter said “She will not hit me in front of my own child!

Once again, the woman was out on her butt, homeless.

A local church, one she had never attended, finally decided to help her out. They found her a trailer to live in, they paid her rent and put food in her cupboards. That was when this woman decided to get saved. That was when she decided praising Jesus was much better than paying her own bills.

Hell, if Jesus was going to provide, why not sing his name a little bit?

Can you say “take advantage of” quickly enough?

I guess I would feel differently if she had went right out and secured a job, any job, and started trying to make it on her own. To my knowledge she hasn’t done this at all and has continued to live her life at the expense of this church and it’s membership.

It is my humble opinion that as soon as the church cuts their purse strings that her status updates on Facebook will have a whole new direction. I believe with my whole heart that her possession by Jesus is a farce and the only thing truly possessing her is her own selfishness.

Religion and spirituality is a personal place for most people. It is for me. I want to worship my own way and in privacy. Updating my status on Facebook every five minutes does not prove your innocence and it does not erase your past.

I have no interest in converting anyone or making them feel less than who they are by running my mouth about my beliefs. While her platitudes aren’t trying to convert anyone, I think using her newly found belief system as a method to threaten, belittle or preach gospel to everyone is a bit over the top. It’s very clear to me who her savior is and it’s those hard working people that are members of that church. I hope that someday she finds a way to repay all of their generosity, but I don’t see that happening. I don’t think she’s possessed by any holy spirit. I think she’s simply possessed.

When is it ever okay to take advantage of the good nature of others?

When did it become okay to be pious when you have a past that reeks from the lack of the most common of all human decencies?

Is this woman truly born again like she professes to be? Or is she just a drain on innocent people’s pocketbooks?

  1. I’m starting to wonder if she even registers on karma’s radar. She’s a year younger than me and I have worked hard all of my life for everything I have. Yes, I have a fantastic husband that spoils me, but I still work. This woman has never really worked a day in her life, and yet she has never gone without the necessities in life. I don’t think her life has been a very happy one though, so maybe I’m incorrect about karma not knowing a little bit of her. I just can’t even imagine having to shuck and jive the way she has in order to exist. In many ways I have empathy for her situation, but in others I am disgusted by her. I don’t think taking advantage of a church fellowship is ever the way to go.

I guess time will tell, or not. She seems to have a great deal of stamina and I think that stems from always being on the grift.

I think it's so nice to see your thoughts! Please share!
