I’ve been watching a new trend on Facebook this week. There are certain people that never comment or Like anything that anyone ever posts, but they sure have a lot to say on Facebook. You know who you are! You open that status box, you blah, blah, blah whatever you’re thinking and then that’s pretty much it.
You have Facebooked for the day.
You are done.
Who cares if it’s someone’s birthday? Who cares if someone is sad because they lost a loved one? Who cares if one of your friends is in the hospital or if someone just had a baby? You are never going to know anything about anyone because all you ever do is post your crap and then log out!
Who are these people?
Why did they sign up for a social networking account?
They aren’t networking. This can’t even be considered social! Do they even know how to find their Newsfeed so they can actually say hi to their friends? Are any of their friends annoyed with their behavior, or are they just so happy to see Johnny on Facebook that they will put up with his rude behavior?
I made a rule a while back that if you don’t interact with me occasionally, then you’re going to get deleted. So far I’m pretty happy with my friends on Facebook, but I think we need to come up with a name for these folks that do this new thing. I have no idea what I’d like to start calling them, other than jackhole, but it’s gotta be a good name that you could just post in their comments and then bolt.
