If you need a clue of how to behave when you’re waiting on line to check out at a retail store, take a cue from children.
They smile at the people around them. Sometimes they giggle. They engage and will say “hi!”. They look around and they are very aware of what’s going on with the folks they are in front of, or in back of, in a line. They are friendly, curious and open.
They aren’t standing there, hating the world and being a zombie bobblehead, wishing they were anywhere else, but there in line, waiting to be checked out.
It’s your life.
Every second counts.
