An inch

When someone says; if you give her an inch, she will try to take a mile, it’s not always a good thing.

If they are talking about a child, it’s a good thing. The child is learning what personal boundaries are and developing negotiation skills.

When an adult continually crosses your personal boundaries, they aren’t negotiating. They are looking for the cracks so they can break you.

Know the difference.
