Today I want to remind everyone about opportunities. It’s true, they don’t come along everyday, but when someone offers you or someone you love, an opportunity, don’t let your pride or your own self doubt get in the way of exploring it.
Over the years I have been offered so many opportunities that I thought were pipe dreams and scams and I stopped believing that opportunities even existed anymore.
Eventually I realized it wasn’t the opportunity, it was me. I was the one that wasn’t following through and it was up to me to make it happen.
It is rare these days that I am able to offer any opportunities, but when I do offer and it’s ignored, I rarely ever offer again. That’s because I make sure that when I give someone that chance, they have an excellent opportunity to succeed. If they don’t follow through, it’s not about me, it’s about them and their own inability to believe in themselves enough to make it happen.
I can see myself in those people that pass up those golden opportunities. I know what’s in their hearts and I also know that this is not something I can change about them. They have to make those changes on their own and in their own time. To force someone to comply is setting them up to fail and setting you up for a sore disappointment and the possibility of losing a friend in the process.
Never be hasty in passing up a chance to make your life better, or richer, or more bountiful, whether it be financially or spiritually. Grab those brass rings and hang on tight. The ones that work out will pay you in dividends and the ones that don’t work out will serve as good lessons to carry you forward in life.
This is your year to seriously consider what opportunities lie ahead for you! Make it happen!
