When I invite folks to read anything I’ve written, it is not an invitation given with ease. It takes an awful lot for me to even suggest to anyone out there that I actually do write, but I do, and I write often and about topics that most people would cringe to even bring up. But that’s what I do.
I write about the stuff that everyone thinks in their heads, but they’d never be tempted to say out loud.
I’m not a blog troll either. I figure if anyone really gives a flying flip about what I do, they can see the blog link right up there in my About section and click on it any time they please. I have a Facebook profile dedicated to my blog and another page under the blog’s name that is open for all kinds of discussions. The new page will be a place you can visit and float all kinds of ideas with people on the same wavelength.
Whenever I have told friends “Hey! I wrote about that this week in my blog! You should check it out!”, I have been told on many occasions, “I’ll read your blog this afternoon” and most of them never, ever do. That’s just how the cookie crumbles.
“I only read blogs about horses, so I’m not going to be reading yours” was kind of a strange reason for not reading what I write. However what this friend never considered was that my writing is just as important to me as their horse is to them. But in hindsight, that person probably doesn’t care about what might be important to anyone else, but themselves.
“I have always hated blogs. All of them.” Well, gee, blogs have evolved considerably since the nineties. When was the last time you read one? When was the last time you checked out my blog? I know blogs, in general, used to be online diaries, but some of the best writing I have come across lately was all found on guess where…a blog. But haters gonna hate.
If you’re interested in knowing where my head is or what topic I’m conquering this week, you can go and read all about it and even comment if you wish. There are some days I actually write about topics that have nothing to do with me or what I’m going through that day. It might have been a Draft saved in one of my folders and that was the day I felt like tackling the subject. My blog is not always in sync with me. 🙂
The foundation my blog was built on, and has been managed with, is that everyone has a story to tell. This is a safe place to tell my story. I am not interested in being a part of the problem. I strive to be a part of the solution and to give you my voice, my support and perhaps a direction towards better mental health.
Never be afraid to share your passion with the world. You might not always get the kind of support you expect from the people that know you best, but somebody out there is paying attention and they will make the time to appreciate your efforts. Until then, I’ll be writing about it and putting it out there on the Interwebs for the whole world to read
Excuses!! Hehe! They’re another form of white lies and fibs folks tell to hide the real reason (from themselves) why they choose to resist something new. But those who are ready and open to what you share will find you and read your stuff. I still can’t believe even a single person was/is interested in reading anything I’ve shared or posted. 🙂

I have always considered what you wrote to be my salvation when I found you! Your words were like a light coming on! These days your words have become a salve, a hug and still that soft light, showing me the path.

I started blogging a few years ago. I do it mainly for fun, but, lately, I have been exploring how to make a little, and I do mean a little money with it. I don’t have that much traffic, probably because my blog is all over the place. I guess I should try to pick a topic and stick with it, but I usually write about things that come into my mind. To me, people care about that, but that’s not likely. : ) So, it’s mostly for fun and something for me to mess with.

Kudos for blogging! Writing about anything that comes to mind is not a bad thing and you can develop a following that way. If your life stories pull a heart string, or tell a great story, then tell them. That’s what I do! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by. I’ll check your blog out today too!
