“surround yourself with positive people” she said…she’s just not going to be one of them

This sounds like something said by the people that preach and think they are the end-all, together, be-all, zen folks that everyone longs to emulate and to hang out with…when in reality they are probably the drama you’re trying to get rid of.

I’m all about surrounding myself with positive people, but I have always known that positive people hardly ever tell you they’re positive people. In fact, they often feel like they might be the opposite of positive because those folks are continually evolving and not just stuck on themselves in one place. To be in their presence is more of a feeling you get and that feeling is warm and always mutual because true blue positive people are welcoming, not exclusionary. I’m not interested in having someone tell me to surround myself with positive people like them and then they treat me shabby, like they’re better than me. It feels like “Oh wow, you are so clueless and ignorant that I have to tell you what life’s about and even then, you still might not get it.”

It is true…actions speak louder than your words ever will.

I hear hugs.

I don’t hear lip service and bullshit rhetoric.
